When your hamster died and you want to buy a new one, be very careful. It is very important to thoroughly clean and disinfect everything what original hamster came into contact. This recommendation also applies if you are buying a second-hand toys or hamster cage. Disinfection is important to do because the hamster could have a some hidden disease and the new hamster could be infected and it could consequently die.
